Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
The two 'full backs' did not get wide and cross once. The 'midfielders' did not do that all game either. The only thing Carroll can be criticized for is what the fuck was he doing at left back on several occassions. Also does James Collins ever look at who he is hoofing the ball forward to, I would suggest not as he picked out Cahill and Terry time after time. Dreadful performance with maybe Byram and Arty as the exceptions, the rest were toilet not helped by the manager's strange line up and tactics, such as they were.

Valencia, we played with 10 men last night and Chelsea should have. Bad day at the office for all concerned. Oh and could the dietician's please suggest something other than pies for Tore and Ayew, no wonder his thigh went holding up that fat arse

Noble made a few bad errors yesterday and was poor.

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
I think over the next 12 months Noble is going to split opinion even more, I can almost envisage another Nolan scenario occurring.

Last season he was exceptional but honestly I think he will be one player who I believe if the opposition will to put under direct pressure, isolate him he has neither strength, pace or exceptional skill to cope in my view, last season I think Payet's presence gave him a lot more freedom and time whereas I feel teams rather than focus on Payet will look to stop the ball getting to him in the first place and Noble is an obvious target in doing that.

Load of bollocks.

I was glad to see Andy finish a whole 90 minutes that inluded him still chasing the ball down in the dieing minutes. This is a first for him with us. A whole pre-season, and looking fit for 90 minutes. Cahill was excellent last night and gave Carrol a tough job to compete. If he keeps this level of fitness, he will damage many lesser defences.

Fingers crossed.

service was poor, but not as poor as his touch. no excuses.

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
Very harsh on Carroll.

Had very little service.

We need to be whipping the ball in the box for him... Not lumping it up to him.

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
uncle, not like you to talk utter bollocks. until payet came on, carroll had zero support and was isolated. it wasn't noble's fault that there was very little options or outlets because of the prehistoric system that bilic went with last night. valencia is a pub player, not the two you're digging out

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
Noble failed to find a West Ham players only 3 times over 90 minutes, and found a West Ham player 44 times.

I think you must have mistaken Noble for Harvard, who smashed plenty of long balls over 20 metres to chelsea players or off the pitch.... (13 times he lost the ball!)

By casting such a poor line, you're unlikely to get a good bite.

F for effort.

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
AC's first touch is so poor that his second touch is a tackle.

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
Yes we didn't have the players to play to Carroll's strengths. Man we miss those Cresswell crosses. But the problem is we didn't have a striker to replace him with. Are we now going to rely on Calleri?

Noble is out of his depth against the better teams. Everyone can see that except the blinkered Noble worshipers. Noble for England lol.

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
Nobes for me has come on leaps and bounds last season ..and still a bit early to judge ..however Carroll for me basically if u cut the crosses out then he's just a door stop...has no pace,no mobility, can't pull defenders out of position, pretty poor at holding the ball up,not got great feet and fragile!... yes unbelievable in the air but if u have no crosses then was does he bring!!.. i don't see it ... his a last resort if all going pear shaped u throw him on !

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
None of our players could string passes together, all very disjointed, not just two players mentioned. Bit harsh on Carroll with him being so isolated too.

Re: Carroll & Noble pub players
our whole team played like a pub side last night

carroll's touch was awful but he had zero support from the many headers he won

noble was easily our worst midfielder and i love the fella

just had an off night
